View Full Version : Short MW Atlantic Summit
To: UK From: RMR We would very much be interested in an alliance with your nation perhaps we should organize a summit for all parties interested?
This thread is for the proposed summit.
The summit is starting in Ottawa.
It is intended for all of North America and nations elsewhere bordering on the Atlantic.

Representatives from Kurland, led by the Minister of Defence Janis Vacieris, will attend.
Canada is hosting the summit.
Canada starts by recognizing the territories that were ISOT'd as establishing new borders, including those that were in territory that was part of Canada.
OOC: Is there a map that shows where GAU is?
Canada proposes to the Rocky Mountain Republic to link up their railways and roads and establish free trade. Most of the rails and roads follow logical routes by rivers and mountains in both timelines, so connecting them should not be too difficult.
To the The Domains of the Northern Bakufu, there border area is almost uninhabited, so the proposal to simply to allow for trade and set up trading posts and trade routes. Trade would probably have to flow through the Rocky Mountain Republic, assuming they agree.

Northern Bakufu
We will gladly take part in this summit. As for border transit and trade, we do not directly border the RMR. The remaining Canadian corridor to the Pacific lies inbetween. To solve this, we propose a joint project between Canada, the RMR and the Northern Bakufu:
1) The establishment of an appropriate harbour at the Canadian corridor
2) The buildup of a transit network of Canadian, RMR and Daikita harbours. That would be surely the most efficient way to connect settlements in this, as was said, sparsely settled region, as most of them will be at the coast anyways, and the costs to build a railroad or major road would be inappropriate for those population densities.
3) Customs agreements that would allow for free transit either between all our pacific harbours in North America, or at least selected harbours.
This would, in oru estimatiio, have the effetc of developing the region, bringing settlements together and encouraging trade.
White African Union
As we have an Atlantci coast as well, we request to be included in the Summit.

Does our short stretch off of Denmark count, or isn't the Channel the Atlantic?

We see no problem with that proposal.

We will attend.

(and other requests)
Might as well invite everyone, and have separate sub-meetings for those who want to join the Atlantic alliance, which is sort of directed against Germany.

The Great Applachian Union will attend this summit as well.
Britain adds a motion to have every English speaking nation agree to a full alliance, and to cooperate in building military technology and in trade with each other.

The Great Applachian Union agrees to the terms, with the guarantee that exclusive trade zones will be formed.
GAU will also gladly share some of the top-secret technology being worked on in 1954.
