AH Challenge: Selim fails to conquer the Mamluks

With a POD no earlier than Selim's coronation, have his conquest of the Mamluks fail.

Because I've always wanted to see a surviving Mamluk sultanate.

Well, you could have Selim's post coronation speech take places in miserable rain, and he gets sick and dies. I don't know a lot about the Mamluks except that by the early 16th century, the Turks had a much better war machine. I should point out the Mameluke Sultanate continued to exist till the end of the 19th century. The Mamluk class was essentially bought out by the Turks and life continued as it always had except for the Sultan, who was publicly executed.
