What if Rambo had converted to Wahhabist Islamism and went back to Afghanistan to support Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda's efforts there?

I know nothing about Rambo, but...

Assuming that he nixes the plan to attack the US (something that may be doubted, if you like) the chances are that the Taliban continues to tighten its grip over Afganistan. They'll have Rambo, after all, and everyone knows that he's worth at least a division or five. (Chuckle.)

If 9/11 still happens, Rambo gets painted as a traitior and people stop watching his movies.
