A thread for all things a wannabe writer should check out in their journey toward becoming an established writer.

Podcasts, forums, websites, blogs, vlogs, etc. There's a boatload of information out there and there's also a boatload of well established professionals who are willing to share that information. This is a thread where we can gather up that information and created a list of places one can go to if they're wanting to know more about the writing world at large and get more tips from professionals.

PODCASTS: I'm currently big into podcasts because I have a lot of time to kill at work and I'm able to listen to my iPod. Therefore most of my writers' resources have been podcasts of late.

Here's a load of interesting podcasts about writing and publishing news.

THE BUSINESS OF WRITING (http://writingmeviocom.mevio.com/) - Hosted by Mike Resnick and full o' info for authors and wannabe authors.

WRITING EXCUSES (http://www.writingexcuses.com/) - A group of establish authors give out information and advice to folk who want to be writers.

DRAGON PAGE - COVER TO COVER (http://www.dragonpage.com/) - Giving out SF/F publishing news and interesting interviews with SF/F authors.

BLOGS:

LITERARY AGENT - NATHAN BRANSFORD (http://blog.nathanbransford.com/) - An agent's blog about what they're looking for when it comes to submissions, slushes, and various things.

Please share the sites you check out.

I love Writing Excuses. I'd never heard of the other sites you linked, though, so I'll definitely be checking them out.

Here's some places that have influenced a lot of my writing lately.

Paperwings podcast (http://www.paperwingspodcast.com/) - devoted more to comic and script writing, but their suggestions have a lot to do with storytelling.

Script Lab (http://thescriptlab.com/) - giving you tips on how to write scripts and formulate things , very good for writers who want to tighten up their stories.
