View Full Version : Weeping Angels loose on Earth

Ok...let's imagine, for the sake of arguement, that the Weeping Angel army from Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone was transported to Earth. The Angels are their normal selves...oh, and the Doctor is busy trying to avoid Amy making love to him.:chuckle:,
What happens next?

Well if its the whole army of Angels than were pretty screwed I think. One was able to surivive a star ship crash, so I think nukes are pretty damn useless. Where they show up would be a big question of how long it takes them to be discovered. If its somewhere say in Central Asia or other remote spot it might take awhile for the Angels to make themselves felt.
However if they popped up in the US or Europe they'd be discovered fairly quickly.
BTW Chris is this supposed to be our Earth or the Doctor's (you did say he was busy trying to avoid rocking the cazaba with Amy so it could be DW Earth, although why you'd want to avoid Miss Pond's advances is beyond me :) )

Mine too - I just didn't want the Doctor involved.
BTW - What do you think of the revised story?

Hmm if it is the Doctor's Earth but he's not around, UNIT will probably see what's going on quickly. However again I don't think they have the tech or knowelge base to deal with the Angels. Torchwood (what's left of it) might be better equipped if Jack comes back (being from the future he might know about the Angels). I still think things are pretty grim for everyone without the Doctor
As per your other question Chris see my PM.

What about using mirrors against them?
The angels can't move when they're seen, hence their defeat in Blink when they were tricked into looking at each other. If an angel is looking in a mirror, it is looking at itself, while if the image of the angel became an angel, two angels would be trapped.

That would work better with maybe one or two angels, but with a whole army of them, (as seen in the episode) I'm sure they'd be able to quickly take out anyone who could know their weakness. After which it's just a process of systematically wiping out the human race.
