The fact that every AH site is not run by someone who explicitly excludes people who for lack of a better word are too tied into the AH.com subculture is why we keep getting versions of AH.com that are small like HA or here.

Othertimelines was the best of the lot but even it died and had an incoherent timeline format.

Perhaps not being in the Senate would help? It has helped me to not get into more trouble and flame wars and so on...

Don't do it, Nike. It just isn't worth it. Do like I am doing right now, and take a few weeks of minimal activity here. Only stop by every few days, and then limit yourself to only about 5-10 minutes here when you do. It really helps to calm your nerves.

The EU is the livign represaentation of their idiotic supreanational union fantasies so expect AH.cucks and CF.betas to rush to it's defense.

That whole EU thread is just more proof that most of the online AH community counts as ballast and not people.

Agreed. It's actually more diverse in some ways: the differences between libertarians and so-cons are often enormous.

I am honestly at the point of just ignoring it myself. It's not worth the stress, or potential kick or ban. I obviously can't change their opinions, and they sure as Hell aren't going to change mine.

As to your question about steampunk combined with cyberpunk, I think there is a book about a future society where the tech is very advanced, and the main character is a member of a society that has adopted Victorian dress and style. The Centauri of Babylon 5 come to mind too.
