Nuclear Weapon effects and Nuclear Winter

Hi all, looking for opinions and the such on " Nuclear Winter " ( 200 - 300 Nukes over the period of a single day) and their effects on world wide temperatures. Also Atmospheric dust from such an engagement and how or if it would affect Aircraft.

I don't know about other Country's Military NBC Courses but when I did mine back in the mid '90's we did not go into the environmental impacts of this stuff but your links have provided some good stuff.

Would the effects of a nuclear winter hinder the use of Aircraft ... ie atmospheric dust damaging air breathing turbines.
