WI the year without a summer had happened a hundred years later?

That would have been in the middle of WW1, which means that the side (or belligerent nations) with more difficulty in providing food to their civilian and military would have been dangerously weakened, possibly causing civilian disorders and withdrawing from the war, even at the cost of territorial losses.
