We have no knowledge of what has just occurred. We have lost contact with our allies, embassies, and do not have any memory of our current neighboring countries.

We are compelled to issue the following warning:

The Empire has deployed several copies of what we call the Szilard Device. These devices are a series of 500MT Fusion explosives encased in pure Cobalt 60. Total Cobalt 60 for each device is 750 metric tons. Each device is sufficient to destroy all life on Earth.

These devices will automatically detonate if a preset radiation level is detected by sensors scattered across the Empire. The devices will also detonate on a “Dead Man” status if certain actions are not taken by certain personnel within a certain time frame. The Szilard devices can also be triggered as part of our strategic response to any attack.

These devices are located in certain locations within our sovereign territory. You do not know where the devices are. There is no single person in the Empire who knows the location of all the devices and can compromise their security. If any of our territory is overrun, there is a chance that a control site for one of the devices is located there. That would begin a series of events that would be unfortunate for all life.

As we have no history with any of the other countries in this strange world, you may believe this to be a bluff. There is no way to convince any nation otherwise. Be aware, however, that our souls are prepared. Are yours?

We are an Empire that is built on trade. We would be very interested in eastablishing trading agreements. An alliance is possible, even desirable, assuming your interests do not conflict with ours.

In our world Russia was a broken state ruled by Bolsheviks. We were preparing to launch a operation to free the Russian people. Thankfully that is not needed. Perhaps a three way alliance between the russian,european and chinese peoples is needed.

This is the European Empire. We are your neighbor on your Western frontier. What happened to Czar Alexander IV?

OOC I do know about the golden triangle. I first learned about it in a young adults espionage book. In it a extreme anti drug crusader hijacks airforce one and the football and prepares to launch nukes at the golden triangle.

The emperor is being moved to the shining mountain alternate capital/shelter.

All reserves are being called up. The navy is to put to sea. The airforce and army are to prepare for operations.
